Terms & Conditions

General Terms & Conditions

All persons using the island sauna do so at their own risk.

 

All persons using the sea or cold water plunge facilities as a way to cool down do so at their own responsibility. You must ensure you are a capable swimmer, can handle being exposed to cold temperatures, other dangers and the varying conditions of the sea and coastal geography.

 

Please check with a doctor before using the island sauna if any health concerns including being pregnant, diabetic, have epilepsy or if you are under specific medical care in particular history of dizziness and fainting. This also includes having metal pins, rods and implants including silicon.

 

Please do not use our sauna if you have fungal infections or open wounds on your body or feet.

 

If you are feeling unwell, have low or high blood pressure, are taking any prescription medications or suffer with any conditions that can interfere with your ability to sweat, consult your doctor before using our sauna.

Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted in our sauna and our staff have the right to refuse entry to those under the influence or who appear to be intoxicated.

 

Nudity is not permitted during Communal sessions and outside the sauna during Private sessions as we occupy a public space.

 

Please remove all metal jewellery including watches before entering our sauna and be aware that metal fixtures on swimwear may cause burning.

 

The island sauna staff have the right to refuse entry to any person who for any reason is deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds are not issued in this situation.

 

Bookings are allocated a time and we cannot extend for lateness. We suggest arriving 5 minutes early to familiarise yourself with our set-up.

 

If you are booking on behalf of a group, you are responsible for each group member’s awareness of the above T&C’s.

 

Please be aware of our commitment to Sauna Etiquette:

Please wash feet before entering the sauna. Footwear is not permitted.

Please sit on a towel in the sauna.

Please do not stay in the sauna for more than 15 minutes. We recommend listening to the body and staying between 5 – 12 minutes.

Please regulate humidity in the sauna by gently applying water to the stones.

Please do not touch any part of the stove – it is hot.

Please do not add wood yourself – sauna staff will ensure this is done.

Please enter and exit the sauna in a mindful manner as the floor can be become slippery when wet.

 

The use of essential oils is not permitted except in specific Private booking circumstances.

 

No glass is permitted in the sauna.

 

Please do not take photos or videos during Communal sessions. Once the session is free of other users, photos and videos can be taken.

 

Please be respectful of other sauna guests.

 

Our sauna is always hosted by a staff member who is dedicated to your wellbeing and enjoyment – please do ask any questions before, during or after your island sauna experience – we are so happy to help!

Membership Terms & Conditions

Membership Fee

The Friday Social Club is priced at £20 per month.

The Communal Club is priced at £40 per month.

Members are required to pay this fee on a monthly basis, via DD, with the initial payment processed upon enrolment.

 

Membership Benefits

Friday Social Club- weekly access to any morning or evening Communal sauna. (limited to one session per week, per membership)

Communal Club – access to any Communal sauna session on any day of the week (limited to one session per day)

Bookings are subject to the availability of sessions.

Each session is 60 minutes long.

 

Membership Duration

Membership is valid on a month-to-month basis.

Membership automatically renews on the payment date specified each month.

Members may cancel at any time.

 

Payment Terms

Payment will be automatically deducted from the member's provided payment method.

Members are billed monthly.

 

Cancellation Policy

Members can cancel at any time with immediate effect upon receipt of an email by The Island Sauna.

No refunds will be given for partial months.

Request for cancellations must be sent via email to emma@theisalndsauna.co.uk.

Usage rules:

The membership is non-transferable.

Members are entitled to the usage for each membership outlined in Membership Benefits.

Membership must not be used to book multiple persons at a time.

Sauna sessions are booked on a first come/first served basis.

Refunds will not be given if Members are unable to book on as sessions are already full.

Members must adhere to the island sauna facility rules and guidelines.

Misuse or disruptive behaviour may result in the suspension or termination of Membership.

 

Communication:

All communication regarding Memberships including updates, promotions, events, and policy changes will be communicated via contact details provided by the Member.

 

Policy Changes:

The island sauna reserves the right to modify membership policies with prior notice.

Members will be informed via the contact information provided.

By enrolling, members agree to abide by the T&C’s outlined in this policy.
